Raw Banana Fry Recipe with Step by Step Pictures. Vazhakkai Poriyal or Fry is an easy sidedish for rice. This raw banana roast is super easy to make and goes well with sambar rice or any sidedishes.
This particular raw banana fry recipe is not even a recipe. You can try this fried raw banana when you are short of time. Since you are frying vazhakkai it cooks faster and then you toss them with some chilli powder and salt. You can make them in under 10 mins.
If you use little semi ripe raw banana for this recipe then the poriyal will turn out little sweet which i love so much to eat as a snack. Raw banana fry goes well with sambar rice, rasam rice, curd rice or any heavy kuzhambu recipes.

I used the raw banana which was grown in our own garden to make this. I also made some nice kerala banana chips using the same variety of nendran banana.
Raw Banana Fry Recipe
Raw banana fry recipe is an easy sidedish for rice. you can serve this with sambar, rasam or even plain curd rice.

Serves: 2 servings
- Raw Banana – 2
- Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for Deep frying
- Peel and chop raw banana into small pieces. Add in hot oil and fry till golden.
- Drain to a bowl.
- Add in salt and chilli powder and mix well.
1)Take your raw banana. This is my nendran banana.
2)Peel off skin and chop them
3)Deep fry in hot oil till crispy and cooked
4)Drain to a bowl
5)Sprinkle with chilli powder
6)Add in salt
